Goldberg Guest House – Chatsworth, California

This guest house and ceramic studio was designed to be resonant with the main house designed by W. Earl Wear in 1975 with some economy and simplifications. The material pallet was intact and the landscape tied the two buildings together.

Joshua Tree Retreat Center/ Institute for Mentalphysics – Joshua Tree, California

Originally designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, Jr (aka Lloyd Wright), the JTRC Campus has evolved and grown over the 75 years since the original buildings began to take form. In 2016, DIG was hired to help the Center manage a growing list of repairs and upgrades to the Campus. Some of these repairs and upgrades have been realized and DIG continues to consult for the Center in envisioning a sustainable future for the architectural integrity and energy use of the buildings as well as having a more beneficial impact on the local ecology.

Altadena Mixed-Use Redevelopment – Altadena, California

completed 2005

This Mixed-Use Redevelopment project was a community driven project and DIG worked closely with Eric Lloyd Wright in the development of this design. The project includes a grocery store, a fitness club, a couple of small retail spaces and residential apartments. The design follows pedestrian oriented urban guidelines and the buildings allowed for natural light and ventilation and afforded some decorative architectural features.

Eco-Skate House – Malibu, California

unbuilt project

The Eco-Skate House was a dream project that became a victim of the 2008 recession. A 3-bedroom residence design to be 100% skateable and sustainable. The design featured a skate-able roof, bathrooms and everywhere in-between. The super-insulated Structural Concrete Insulated Panels (SCIP) product that the entire structure was to be made from, made it possible to be skate-able and highly energy efficient.
